"I had severe back nerve pain (Sciatica). After a preliminary visit with Dr Kramer, I signed up for regular adjustments/treatments. To my surprise, it was much more than back cracking. There was also soft tissue conditioning. He used a half a dozen different techniques specifically prescribed for my condition.

If those treatment techniques weren't explained to me, I wouldn't have believed it would help.

Dr. Kramer does an excellent job of explaining all his adjustments/treatments. The first time I walked into Dr. Kramer's office, I was using a walker. I was taking MAX doses of pain killers and was ready to buy a Cemetery plot, because the nerve pain was so bad. I couldn't really take care of myself. With Dr. Kramer's ongoing treatment, I progressively got better, in about a month I was able to walk without walker or crutches, and another couple months I was able to function as normal, also at that time, I quit taking the pain killers, in fact, I haven't even taken a Tylenol pill since that three month mark.

Today (March 7, 2024), it's been 18 months, and I am feeling great, I regularly ride a bicycle, something I hadn't done much of, in a long time, due to pain. I am now relatively pain free."

"I came in to Glencoe Family Chiropractic for my back pain, which was due to my scoliosis. Before I came into the clinic, the pain was always there and I couldn’t complete everyday tasks. Now I am able to work until the pain gets strong; then I stop and ice the pain area like Dr. Kramer says. I am now able to do my daily tasks, such as vacuuming, without major pain! I hope that eventually I can get back to some of the activities I’ve done before my scoliosis got so bad.

I would recommend Glencoe Family Chiropractic for care in particular because Dr. Kramer takes x-rays every 6 months to see the progress being made by each patient. The follow ups with the traction table or the BOT chair retrain the muscles after the adjustments, and icing sore spots really helps!

Everyone at Glencoe Family Chiropractic is concerned for the patient’s well-being, and I love the friendship everyone here has. I want others to know that they can get relief for their pain and discomfort from Structural Chiropractic care, especially without pills or drugs. Things can get better!"

"I had back, neck, and shoulder pain. I also had severe tension and anxiety. I was plagued with daily tension headaches and myofascial pain. These conditions were daily and chronic.

It took every ounce of energy to take care of day-to-day chores. I couldn’t keep a full-time job or workout.

Now I have more energy and can focus. I have less shoulder, back, and neck pain and stiffness. I have no tension headaches. I sleep better, eat healthier, exercise, and relax more. In the past, I would have adjustments (from other chiropractors) without ever getting to the root of the problems.

I find Dr. Kramer to be very professional; he looks at all aspects of my conditions. Causes from old injuries as well as nutrition are all taken into consideration. After getting adjusted, my neck and shoulders always feel better. I have a lot more flexibility with less tension and pain. Dr. Kramer is very friendly, helpful, and informative.

In the future, I would like to continue healing so I can pursue my hobbies, career, and social life in a healthier, more productive way. I never fully realized how spine care played a key role in my overall health—physically, mentally, and spiritually. Chiropractic care may drastically change your overall outlook on life in a more positive way. It has mine!"

"I’d been having some back pain since I was about 40, but it was mild and during that time, I saw about 4 different chiropractors.  My back would be good for a while, but then I’d have to go back in again and get adjusted again.

"About 6 years ago, I was forced to quit working because my left knee went out and I literally was on crutches from one day to the next. Nothing I could do would stop the knee pain and I started receiving cortisone shots for relief. The cortisone would only be effective for a short time before I’d have to go back in again. Then my right knee started giving me pain….at least I thought it was my right knee…so I received a cortisone shot in that one, too. But the pain didn’t go away. In fact, the pain moved to my right hip and went down my leg. It got so bad that I was back on the crutches and sometimes laid 3 days in bed to relieve the pain, because even the crutches and the narcotics I was prescribed weren’t helping. So back to the doctor. An MRI showed that my sciatic nerve was being severely pinched. So, I had a cortisone injection inserted right were the pain was coming from, and for me, that was the most painful experience I could remember since I’d been through childbirth seven times. That injection only lasted six weeks and I was in excruciating pain again that only bedrest and narcotics would help.

So, the only alternative, they told me was back surgery to relieve the pain, not knowing that my back would never get strong again. The surgeon accidentally poked a hole in my spinal cord, so that spinal fluid was leaking out. So, after waking up after the surgery I was told I would have to lay flat on my back for 24 hours “because it was just a little poke” to be sure that it healed. I knew that the pain I experienced then was much worse than childbirth. The one good thing was that the sciatic pain was gone, though.

However, my back never became strong again as it had been prior to the surgery. I went through physical therapy with the therapist at the clinic, plus one winter I went through therapy again at the local nursing home. That summer I decided I would plant a garden and work in it for my therapy. That was a big mistake because my back went out again. This time it wasn’t sciatic pain, but it was low back pain that wouldn’t quit and I went back to taking the narcotics again. I tried therapy again, but it wasn’t working for me, in fact I got worse to where I started walking with a cane. Finally, I demanded another MRI and it showed some nerve pinching and the only other alternative I could do was go back under the knife. I did not want to repeat that again.

My sister-in-law had given me one of Dr. Kramer’s cards and told me how good he was in treating her. I carried that around for a couple of months, but I finally made the phone call and set up the appointment for Feb 1, 2018. My husband and I were both impressed with what Dr. Kramer told us and showed us after the x-rays, etc.

Treatment started in Feb and I will be honest to say that it wasn’t always easy. I had one major setback, which Dr. Kramer said was not unusual, but with his encouragement and the encouragement I received from his wonderful staff, I improved. I had one other minor setback, but in a short time my back healed from that one, too.

Today, I still see him regularly, but I have improved so much that I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel. I walk without any mechanical assistance now, do not take narcotics at all, and feel 98% better than I did when I first walked into his clinic with my cane a year ago.

In addition, Dr. Kramer has helped me to get my diabetes under control with the use of his supplements and of course diet. When I started coming here, I was eating gluten free, because if I didn’t, I would have digestive issues that were bad enough that I couldn’t leave home because I needed the facilities there in emergencies. It was quite a problem trying to have a social life, or even going to church, and sometimes my appointments. Dr. Kramer told me he didn’t think it was gluten that was causing my problems after he did a simple test for me. (I had complained to my medical doctor for 3 years that I was having digestion issues, but she just told me to be careful what I ate…no tests, no attempts to find out what was causing it, etc. etc.) Anyway, I am happy to say that I do not have those issues any longer. I attribute that to the supplements and the adjustments that this smart doctor has performed on my back.

I love this clinic, I love this doctor, I love the staff that works here, and I love how good I feel now compared to what I felt like when I started here. I thank God every day for the wonderful improvements I’ve made and I owe it all to Him and Glencoe Family Chiropractic!"

"First of all I have done construction most of my life. For the last 13 years I have been a mechanic full time. I am 47 years old. During the 4th of July weekend in 2012 I injured my back when I wiped out on my jet-ski. I thought that I may have broken a rib. I could hardly move, much less work. I had no health insurance so I did not think that I could afford to go to a hospital.

"I saw an advertisement from Glencoe Family Chiropractic that said for just a small amount I could get X-rays and an exam. I had never been to a Chiropractor before but I knew that this would be the least expensive way to find out how much damage I had done to myself. I found out that I did not have broken ribs, however, my spine was all out of whack! Dr. Kramer came up with a treatment plan. I got adjustments 2 or 3 times a week for a couple of months. I felt much better but since I was paying for it out of pocket, I could not afford it and had to stop.

Five years later in March of 2017 my back pain had returned. It got so bad that I could only sleep for a few hours until I awoke in pain. I came back to see Dr. Kramer. X-rays showed that my spine was all jacked up again. He showed me that my disc spacing was closing and the angles were all wrong. Degeneration. Once again, he came up with a treatment plan and this time I knew that I had to commit to the full plan. I came in for adjustments and treatments 3 times a week for many months.

At first I could barely tolerate the traction table on a low setting. The Graston treatments felt terrible and afterward I was very tender and bruised. It was all worth it though as a week or two after each Graston treatment I could tell that I was stronger and more flexible. I used a Tens unit, ice packs, heat, stretching and massage. Over the course of the last two years I have continued to improve. I feel at least 10 years younger. I do not have back pain anymore. My arms are able to work harder and longer without fatigue. I don’t get headaches anymore. As of April 2019 1 am still seeing Dr. Kramer once a week but I am ready to back it down to just maintenance visits soon.

I would like to tell anyone that suffers from back or joint pain that they should go see a Structural Chiropractor. I am so glad that I was lucky enough to find Dr. Kramer and his wonderful staff. My life is truly better because of them!

Thank you!"

"One day Dr. Kramer took a look at me when I was in the clinic with my dad. He asked if he could “poke” around a little. I said, “sure.” I didn’t realize how sore I was, so we did x-rays and found that my hips were out of line, one leg was shorter than the other, I was having digestion trouble, and my neck needed some work. So we came up with a plan. During my treatment plan Dr. Kramer adjusted me and worked on my digestion issues and now I’m feeling great. I am still going in every three weeks and usually I am ready to go and see him at this time. I am getting taller too.

During this time I had a concussion, and he relieved the pressure in my head and neck. I couldn’t believe how good I felt. I always tell everyone who is having pain to go and see Dr. Kramer, “he’s amazing.” I always look forward to going!

Awesome Sauce."

"I thought the pain I was experiencing was just a part of aging that I must expect and endure. Then, I received a postcard from Glencoe Family Chiropractic in the mail, but I threw it away thinking this won’t help me. I reconsidered, and decided to give chiropractic care a try. Dr. Kramer evaluated my condition and came up with a plan to alleviate my pain.
After starting treatment, my lower back and hip pain has been greatly reduced. My balance has improved; I have learned exercise and stretching techniques to strengthen my body to help keep me pain free. He has offered suggestions for weight loss, and general good health.
Dr. Kramer has a positive attitude about life, and is happy in his work. He has a genuine concern for the physical and spiritual well being of his patients.

Thank you so much Dr. Kramer for all you do for me!"

"Due to 2 herniated disks, I had severe pain and numbness in my low back and left leg all the way down to my foot.

I could not sit for long periods of time without having trouble walking afterwards because I would have shooting pains in my low back and down my leg.

Even with my busy life and work schedule, Dr. Kramer’s regimen of specific adjustments and easy exercises to do at home has made me pain free."
